they continue to do outstanding work
Amanda and her team transformed our property. I manage a department in the Municipality and because of timing we were not able to have a contract in place during the ‘growing’ season. Our property became overgrown. The initial clean up by Amanda and her team was truly amazing. Since then they have come back for maintenance and they continue to do outstanding work. Thank you for attention to detail and hard work. It shows!!
– Gaylene Thorogoodfrom a total mess into something immaculate

I am so impressed with the quality of their work and grateful to Amanda and team for how beautiful my yard looks.
– DeannaGreat value. Fantastic work. Couldn’t be happier.
The entire crew at A Cut Above did a fantastic job. They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. They pulled our garden beds and yard into shape and did a wonderful job with their recommendations and detail oriented work. Fantastic recommendations and work with the new plants, and low-maintenance sustainable design choices. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone struggling to get on top of their yard or looking to refresh the look of their property. We will be using them again in the spring and fall for ongoing maintenance. Great value. Fantastic work. Couldn’t be happier.
– Tristan Dressieralways responsive to our needs
Dustin & Darlene are always responsive to our strata’s needs. St Claire is a hard working, knowledgeable team member. In addition to our strata work A Cut Above was contracted by us to do an edging project at our unit and we would like to thank Darlene, Aiden and Stephanie for the excellent work they did. Thank you all.
– Mike Butlerexcellent at what they do
Amanda and her crew have been maintaining our landscaping needs for many years. They are excellent at what they do and have our yard looking picture perfect all year round. Keep up the great work!
– Kenny VThey really do a great job!
This is a wonderful company!
Dustin came to our home in a day. He walked us through the project, installing new sod and had the quote completed the next day.
Kenny and the team arrived early and are fantastic hard working people. They moved 6 yards of soil up hill by wheelbarrow like a walk in the park. Our new lawn was leveled, rolled and installed in a few hours.
I can’t thank Dustin and his team enough for the fabulous job. They really do a great job!– Jim Jenningskind and professional
Amanda at A Cut Above is a rockstar! She accomplished more in a few short hours than I could have in weeks. She was kind and professional – her clear communication helped me feel understood every step of the way.
– Tara Rinkeour property has never looked this good!
Dylan and Amanda did an AMAZING job with a pre winter clean up of our entire property. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the outstanding work they did and will be recommending them and the company to all of our friends! Thank you for going above and beyond our property has never looked this good!
– Adrianna Todescothey accomplished TWICE what I was expecting
Dayna and Ron were here for only one day, and I would say they accomplished TWICE what I was expecting. My front garden looks fabulous, and I feel energized now to go out and complete small projects instead of feeling overwhelmed and miserable about the whole thing. They will be back soon to rebuild a tricky sloping bed outside my front door and put down topsoil everywhere. I am so grateful!
– Maggie de VriesBEST-DECISION-EVER!
My wife and I have been contemplating hiring a landscape company to help us with our yard and finally decided to do just that. Let me tell you… BEST-DECISION-EVER! We recently hired A Cut Above to do some landscaping that we had been working on for the last year. I guess having the right tools does make a difference! We had Kenyon come out with his partner. The two of them accomplished more in 4 hours than we have been able to do in 6 months! We are super impressed with the work they have done! We WILL be hiring them to come out again to help with our back yard.
– Carl Meierthe very best landscaping company
Thanks to Ste Claire and her team for the excellent work they carried out in transforming my once over crowded garden to a beautiful. peaceful garden.
Ste Claire is a professional with a personal touch in consulting together on garden goals and style. A very good listener who also showed firm yet gentle leadership with her team. Darlene, the General Manager, also checked in regarding client satisfaction and some hands on work.
A Cut Above is the very best landscaping company of the four I’ve used within the past seven years.
Highly recommended!– Terri ClintonStonework was clean, the job was done quickly
Don & Ken did a fantastic job with our most recent project. They converted an unused section of our lawn into a large raised stone garden bed. Stonework was clean, the job was done quickly, and they left the site spotless when they were done.
Very impressed (as always) with the results from A Cut Above. I would recommend them and we will continue to use them for future projects.– Tristan DresslerGreat work and great value
Amanda and Damian were great! They showed up right on time and worked hard at it all day. They did a great job reviving our backyard after our dog trashed it for the last 2 years. They were very professional and we love what they did with just some dirt and a few shrubs. Great work and great value. Highly recommend them.
– J Cpleasantly surprised how quick the work was done
Highly recommend them! We had Ste.Claire and her hard working crew install a dry creek bed and plantings in our front yard and it turned out great! She is responsive, professional, hard working, and really knows her stuff. We were pleasantly surprised how quick the work was done. Mike’s Irrigation was part of the installation as well and he also did a great job the drip irrigation that is definitely needed here in Ladysmith.
– David PalidworThey go the extra mile
Can’t say enough good things about A Cut Above Landscaping! Friendly, professional, respectful of our property, good suggestions when we’re not sure what to do, and hard-working. They also go the extra mile (e.g. arranged stones leading to our driveway to create a clear path even though it wasn’t something we had noticed or asked for – such a nice touch). Although everyone has been wonderful, I’d like to give special note to Ste Claire, Kenyon, and Dana – stellar. Definitely recommend – highly!
